Enchapter ("we," "our," or "the app") is an interactive reading app designed for children. We take your family's privacy seriously — especially your child's. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Enchapter is designed for use by children under 13 with parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

• We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers from children.
• We do not use behavioral tracking, advertising identifiers, or analytics on children's activity.
• We do not display ads of any kind.
• We do not include social features, chat, or user-generated content.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and message content. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list.

Automatically collected information

The app collects anonymous crash reports and basic performance data to help us fix bugs and improve stability. This data is processed by Sentry, a third-party error monitoring service. Crash reports contain no personal information — no names, email addresses, device identifiers, or location data. No screenshots or user content are captured. This data is not linked to any individual user or child and is used solely to diagnose technical issues.

Apple may also collect standard App Store diagnostic data under its own privacy policy.

Subscription information

Payments are processed entirely by Apple through In-App Purchases. We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). Apple provides us with a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status — this contains no personally identifiable information.

How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

• Respond to support inquiries
• Verify subscription status for premium features
• Improve the app based on aggregated, non-identifying feedback

Third-Party Services

Enchapter uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — subscription management and payment processing
• Sentry — anonymous crash reporting and performance monitoring (no personal data collected, COPPA-compliant configuration)
• Project Gutenberg, Open Library, Standard Ebooks — public domain book content (no user data is sent to these services)

We do not use any advertising networks, behavioral analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. Sentry crash reporting is configured to be COPPA-compliant — no personal information is collected, and crash data is not linked to any identifiable user.

Data Storage and Security

Reading progress and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers. If you use iCloud, Apple may sync app data across your devices under Apple's privacy policy.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request information about any data we hold (we hold very little)
• Request deletion of any data associated with you
• Opt out of any future communications

Parents or guardians may review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information at any time by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
